Welcome to the official website for Model United Nations Bilbao, organised by the Educational Group COAS, AYALDE and MUNABE.

It is a pleasure to welcome you once again to our annual conference, which will take place in our school, Colegio Ayalde, between the 25th and 28th of January 2024, the seventh edition.

Disarmament & International Security Committee (DISEC)
- TOPIC A: The question of militarizing and weaponizing space.

This committee deals with the rights of safety and protection that each person is entitled to, but is not receiving in their home country or abroad.
- TOPIC A: The question of the legalization of sex work and the controlled human traffic in this field.

- TOPIC C: The question of legitimatizing surrogate pregnancies.
This committee is concerned for the general health of the population of the World, whether a person is from a developed or under-developed country.
- TOPIC A: The question of combating female genital mutilation.

- TOPIC C: The question of post-pandemic mental health and substance abuse.
This Committee promotes and enforces basic feedoms and ideals meant to be enjoyed by the entire international community, such as the freedom of expression.
- TOPIC A: The question of the distinction between religious freedom and religious oppression of women.
- TOPIC B: The question of the responsibility of large corporations on the spread of misinformation.
- TOPIC C: The question of protecting and promoting artistic freedom that concerns politics and banned topics in education systems.
The CSTD Commission is the UN´s home for discussions on science and technology – what is new, what matters, what is changing, what the impact is – and how this affects development and a sustainable future for all.
- TOPIC A: The question of ensuring the protection of privacy in regards to new and upcoming technologies as AIs.
- TOPIC B: The question of providing affordable internet access to developing countries.
- TOPIC C: The question of the use of technologies to contribute to the creation of Nulcear-Weapon-Free Zones.
The commission to address the most critical environmental challenges facing the world today.
- TOPIC A: The question of the economic and environmental maximization of wind and solar energy.
- TOPIC B: The question of the economic and environmental maximization of wind and solar energy.
- TOPIC C: The question of achieving the SDGs set by the UN by 2030.
EDOFIN deals with questions about economics, global finance, and growth and development around the world.
- TOPIC A: The question of managing the continuous inflation of fuel prices.
- TOPIC B: The question of cryptocurrencies.
- TOPIC C: The question of the implementation and political implications of the BRICS currency.
This council debates the most challenging topics, and their resolutions are enforced by UN Peacekeepers.
- TOPIC A: The question of territorial sovereignty in Antartica.
- TOPIC B: The question of the ongoing tensions between Serbia and Kosovo.
- TOPIC C: Crisis (TBA).
This committee is open to students under 15 years of age.
- TOPIC A: The question of the negative impact of alcohol on health and life expectancy.
- TOPIC B: The question of the implementation of measures against illicit use of the internet.
- TOPIC C: The question of the importance of a good education for girls and women of poor or discriminatory countries such as Afganistan
A more fast-paced and fluid committee experience.
The topics will be annouced at the begining of the conference.
This is a regional organisation of Arab states with a focus to developing the economy, resolving disputes and coordinating political aims.
- TOPIC A: The question of responding to the humanitarian crises in the Sudan.
- TOPIC B: The question of responding to food shortages on the continent of Africa.
- TOPIC C: The question of ending child marriage.
This council is concerned with advancing international cooperation and good governance across the circumpolar Arctic.
